Managed to come second with 52ld first was 69lb we both used corn and plenty of it not bad considering its the first time we have fished this water match time was 10am 3pm by the way try paste on the hook.

The locals who came on after us to fish the open all had liquidised bread and cage feeders plus the new rocket type and were using either banded pellet or mini white boilies, and popped up bread especially if you draw an island peg.

If you draw peg 29 move your box 2 yards to the right so you can fish down the edge to your left under the tree supposed to best peg on lake

I have been informed that using small piece of meat up in the water like you would when fishing pellet does the business

Thumbs up

Was on the best peg mate 29
Two really good anglers from our club more to the standard of open match anglers, drew 7 and 8,they had 16lb and 18 lb from them ,that really shows you how hard it fished.
Sillybait blue drew peg 4 and fished the method like a legend for 38lb odd.
Shame as i know you can do a ton of there if they have a go.
The weather didn't help either, but there's always next year

Yes mate but only one fish off the tree on paste in the last hour
Had to fish 13-14m shallow for the carp.
Suppose nearly all the pegs being fished didn't help and pushed em out.
Could have had a lot of skimmers if i fished for them but didn't bother.
Nice set up though shame they lost all those carp last year
