I drew 58 on meadow, a peg I thought I would catch off - what a mistake.
2 carp, 1 Chub & 1 gonk, 11lb 11oz.

Won the section though.

i finshed with 11lb 7 oz and was told that my section money would be sent to me in the post. peg 24 on meadow, quite a few around me never even had a bight.

did they give the section money to who ever was second???

The day was a fiasco mate! we were doomed when we drew meadow pool!
top ten weights overall went through! what a joke!! no chance of qualifying off ninety odd percent of pegs on there.Should have been 10 sections!
we paid 20 quid for the chance of winning 40.your 11 pound woulda probly won the 10 man section and qualified, that way!

yes abbo i thourght that it would of been alot fairer to have the section winners go through.

and im not taking any thing away from the people who did qualifie because they still had to catch the fish but the winners were quite close together, and many came of the same pool as each other.

Exactly shaun your 11lb odd was good on the day, from a dead area and was more worthy of a place in the final than someone who was 4th best on a pool of 15 anglers!
I have sent an email to Dave harrell to vent the frustration expressed by alot of people before and after the match!
I will let you know the reply!

i have also emailed him and have not had a reply. im also still chasing him over my section money.

lance what did you end up with because i didnt fancy your peg much either.

Got a reply off mr Harrel today,said the decision was made by him and d.cox and j.arthur, looking back he said sections would probably have been better on meadow pool!!!pointed out that there were qualifiers off all pools!the fact that the fifth placed bloke on the moors pool (out of 15 or 20 anglers)qualified seems to have gone over his head!
Said i wouldnt of moaned if i had finished 2nd or 10th

told him i never had a hope after the draw!
