hi there, fished Alcott for the first time last sun club match. Weather was Bad strong winds and rain. There is a island that runs down most of the pool its a bit out of pole range but is ideal for casting small method feeder to. I had most of my fish on pole at around 8m feeding pellets and using them on the hook depth is fairly even all the way across about 3 1/2 feet. The fish in general seem to range around 1/2Ib - 1Ib1/2 range caught all mine on the deck but i think you could catch them shallow if the weather is warm. 12Ib 8oz won our match (peg 14) i was second with 12 3oz (peg13) the guy who won was using the paste. I think the weights could be much better if you have nice weather. Hope this helps, best of luck
