Fished the open on there a couple of weeks ago, It's an oblong pool about 20 meters wide. the peg I drew was about 1.5 metres deep. There are lots of small fish in there along with some bigger fish, carp, skimmers, tench ect. To keep the fish comming I thought pellet was the best bet and I ended up with 55 pounds. I think a weight of over 100 pounds won the pool from the end peg fished diagonaly against the side of the bank. My mate, who acually drew next to me fished corn with meat on the hook at times, all through the match and ended with seventy pounds.. I would think it's probably best to fish two lines out, one with corn close in and one about 9 or ten meters with pellets... But don't forget the edges of course.

Best method on there is too fish a small cage feeder and hair rigged double pellet chucked tight to the far bank matey. When you get the pellets on site you need too buy some of the red liquid additive they sell there - its a big bottle about £5 - then wet the pellets up and add a really good glug of the liquid - it turns to a right mess, as close to GB as you can get but dont break the rules by letting it go sloppy. Fish this in a small cage and 6" hooklength and jackpot!

Some good info from oneabung there, guys. The liquid you need is willis worms red devil or detonator.I won a fairly high profile match there last year using similar tactics with a slight difference.I filled the feeder with caster and just plugged the end with pellet (it pains my wallet to buy pellet in their shop !) then fished worm or maggot on the hook/hair.You need to fish tidy and tight over.

Fairly sure there is a 12" hook length limit, though!!!!
