Default napton res

Anyone got any information on Napton res? And could you catch on the pole? I've been told it's full of Tench but very clear?

Any info would be a big help

Cheers

Mike

Hi Mike,

Pole is the best method in my experience, I was having 20 - 40 fish pr session upto about 7 weeks ago. One of the guys in the shop went back and could only manage a few perch off the causeway pegs where we had been bagging, so maybe the early season bonanza is over? I have been told that the pegs along the RH bank and the far end of the RH lake still fish OK, but I haven't tried them. I guess the feeder might now be a better method?

If I were in a match, I would be feeding pellet and corn at 11 - 14 metres and creating a feeder peg at a comfortable 30 - 40 metres, and take it from there. I was feeding large Drennan pot of 4MM pellet, with a dozen or so pieces of corn on the pole. And using a 1 - 1.5 gram rig, 0.15 line to a size 16 B911, connected to beastmaster powerkit loaded with green Vespe #14 elastic. Fishing 4mm & 6mm expanders or Corn on the hook.

I hope that helps. Please pm me and let me know how you get on.

Cheers....Mark
