Going to Bodmin in Cornwall for 2 weeks on Friday and I have managd to convince the wife that I should bring some fishing tackle along( I will only be taking a feeder rod and waggler rod ).

Can anyone recommend any good places to fish on a day ticket in the area.

bk fisheries in hayle is a great venue, it's just outside St. Ives. there is two lakes there Bills pool and Billies pool, Bills pool is the larger with a good stamp of large carp and bream plus some shy tench. Billies pool is fish soup full of 3-7lb carp and probably some a bit bigger but it is an out and out bagging water.

What about white acres just outside newquay it's well worth it ive heard the place is great i had a little visit down there and the ponds look in great condition with lots of island features to fish to there is a fair few lakes. I think one of them has specimen carp in and also 50lb plus cat fish. Of coure theres the taclke shop on site where they have averything you could posibly imagine not to sure on fishery deatails though so worth seeing if they have a web site

The web site for Whiteacres is Fishing holidays in Cornwall at White Acres. In my opinion , it is the best comm fishery in the country with a great match setup too. Not sure wether you can day ticket though.

i fort u were able to fish on friday and saturday's on a day ticket??

im sure u can fish it anytime on day ticket, as long as you purchase it before fishing from the tackle shop

I was at white acres last september and you could fish it then on day ticket as a visiter !!

Im off here next month i've been told its great for the fishing
