Not been there for a couple of seasons, but mine would be don't ignore the silvers - you used to get good bags of dog roach on the caster over chop

I fish there quite often and if i was fishing a match it would be 1 line about 5metres chop worm and caster and another at 13 mtr on the pellet, the later seems to work well with the bream.
Carp on this venue can be a bit hit and miss so i would set my stall out for silvers but with tackle to deal with the bonus carp, this place is great for silver fish sport, ignore them at your peril.

Payno, I have only fished Sion once, what pool holds the roach and bream ? the large pool or the small one.
Jeff.

just got back from sion, couldnt get on 1st pool, plenty of bream and roach on 2nd pool, taken on pellet or sweetcorn, the carp were coming along every now and then, but few and far between, having carp between 8 and 11 metres, margins full of silvers

Just got battered at Sion !!
Meat meat and more meat !
140 pounds won the match from what I can gather and to support the other guys posts this is an exceptional result as the carp decide to feed in a few areas.
Winner permanent peg 13 against the island the guy fished a brilliant match at 17 meters in some difficult gusty wind .MEAT
2nd peg 5 i think? with around 70 pounds with two carp for 12 pound then the remaining weight all silvers ! I think meat ?
3rd Peg 10 55 lb pellet waggler
4th some idiot who tried his hardest not to win from peg 11
The beauty of the meat approach is the silvers at this place seem to love it and the carp do to !
