Default Larford match lake

I have a match here in the morning fishing from 11-4 I have only ever fished the arena and specimen lake so is there much difference for the match lake?

I am taking 5kg VDE ground bait, 3 pints of maggot. 2 pints pellet and 2 tins of corn.

peg permitting i'm going to start with the feeder and still feed the pole line and margins and go from there.

would any of you have advice that could help on here please?

Hi sponduke, the way i would fish the match lake is about 13mtrs shallow with expander on the hook constant feeding of feed pellet with catapult try to feed whats on the hook eg hook bait 4mm feed 4mm hook bait 6mm feed 6mm but dont forget you have to use fishery own feed pellets and i would fish top 3 or 4 sections out with either pellet or PASTE on the deck. when fishing shallow keep alternating depth until you find fish or you keep foul hooking them, if by the island another method is method feeder to the island as close as you can and bury hook bait in the feeder corn a good alternative bait for this method you can also try the pellet wag up in the water or the feeder in the open water if its windy. last weeks angling times and this weeks gives a write up about the match lake on the doubles,I am fishing the solihull angling centre open there on sunday so could you please post your results for me,many thanks and good luck hope this is helpful.

thanks for the advice but i couldnt get time to log on and see it till today lol!

I came 3rd with 29lbs 9oz fishing a cage feeder to the middle, I tried the pole with paste and corn anyway but couldn't get a touch. I threw the feeder in the margin with and hour to go and every chuck was a fish. All they wanted all day was pellet, so I banded their feed pellets and had a fish every few chucks.

1st, 40lbs 8oz
2nd, 34lbs 2oz
3rd 29lbs 9oz

The pool was very busy, they had our match on one side and another club on the far bank so not many spare pegs but still fished ok.
