Was wondering if any1 has fished there recently and what baits / methods were doing the buisness? Been years since I last fished the place.

Thanks for any help

wouldn't bother unless you can use floating dog biscuits. if you can use them and it's not windy you can bag up.

Thanks BlueZulu

I got a match there in a few weeks and went up this sunday and was shocked

I used to be a member of Sutton anglers and even thier pool is a mess its all covered in thick blanket weed.

It used to be quite a pretty little place but the smaller pools are all overgrown and you seem to sit in darkness on most of the pegs.

There was an open just starting on the match lake which i'll be fishing and the lads there told me its no good until the carp come on

What do you reckon the target fish is for an AM draw. Is this just going to be a sit and wait jobbie and hope the carp come on

start on the method with the boilie tucked in.
give it 45 mins then move to the second shelf either corn and cat meat or pellet and paste.

if its solid and fish are hard to come by fish 0.13 and fish maggots, you will get them shallow and there is some big bream that will follow(3lb ders) roach bags can do 15lb and bream bags can do 60.

if you draw on the straight bank the 3rd and fourth peg from the speci pool with the stream behind you fish the slider 30 yards out 3 feet over depth and ball in 8 jaffas.

one other method that won me a few brown envolopes was to chuck out a marker rod before the whistle cast your method to it , clip it up. clip the marker up wind in. when the whistle blows cast the marker out let it pop up. fire 12 jaffas laced with dam micro pellets and casters. real in the marker cast the method over the top. might have to wait an hour but the bream will move in and then the carp will.

one tip is to plump carefully as each peg is very different and a section either way could see the depth change a few feet. some pegs are very shallow and others might have 13 feet.

second tip is do not neglect the silvers if the fishing is hard.

let me know how you get on mate.

Cheers Shaun,

When you say second shelf do you mean put the method out in the lake say 30 yards and then move back closer to you on the shelf?

Also I presume by 0.13 you mean fish 13m shalllow and then move down to the deck and hit the Bream when the eventually move in.

Thanks for the info mate I'll let you know how I get on

go deep on the o.13 give it just a few mins the bream come up in the water. as soon as you hook one go on the heavy rigs.

yer once the method bean out for about 45 mins unless your catching ditch it and go the second shelf from the bank on the pole.

well heres a place thats off my christmas card list.....

Should of left my gear at home and taken rat traps....

Got drawn in the corner 4 ft of water and a distinct lack of fish.

Had to fish a pinkie on a 26 to get a bite and even then the pinkie had the fish in headlock just to get it in the net
