Description : Oaktree Fishery Cottages
Provide excellent quality self-catering accommodation. Each one is
furnished and equipped to a very high standard, giving guests a perfect base
to return to after exploring the surrounding Exmoor area. Set in a secluded
spot, Oaktree cottages are easy to find with good road access from the
North Devon link road and within a short drive of the spectacular moor-land
and dramatic coastal scenery. The National Park is ideal for walkers,
cyclists or horse riders. Its varied landscape of secret wooded valleys and
wild, unspoilt moors together with a wealth of wild life, means there is
always something special to discover.
Take a walk around Oaktree lakes during the early morning/late evening and
enjoy the abundance of wildlife on your doorstep. Dragonflies, kestrels,
buzzards, owls and the wonderful red deer are regular visitors to the ponds.
You may even see the resident kingfishers flying around (but look sharp!) or
listen to the cuckoos and woodpeckers going to work for a change!
Our Cottages
Provide guests with clean, very comfortable modern-style accommodation. All are on one level, making them suitable for those with limited mobility.
Each cottage has central heating, a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher,
microwave and a washing machine-dryer, and a clean, modern bathroom. The comfortable lounge areas have widescreen TV's with freeview, video and DVD player. There is a private patio area to the rear of each cottage with BBQ and garden furniture.
There is also a shared games room with pool table, board games and darts etc and a cycle store.
Fishing is available all year, with tackle hire and bait for sale from the
reception/shop.
Stags Cottage
Sleeps 6-9 people. 3 Bedrooms (inc 4 poster room, double & bunk bedroom (4' double with 3' single over), open plan kitchen/diner, lounge with sofa bed
and rear stable door to patio area.
Otters Cottage
Sleeps 5-6 people. Large 2 bedroom cottage (1 double + 1 double bunk (4'
double with 3' single over, plus a single bed). Lounge/diner with French
doors to patio area, kitchen, and bathroom with WC and power shower over
bath.
Kingfisher Cottage
Sleeps 4-6 people. 1 double + 1 bunkroom. Open plan kitchen/diner, lounge
with sofa bed and stable door to patio area. Bathroom with WC and power
shower over bath.
All cottages are 4 star rated and provide guests with excellent quality
holiday accommodation. We look forward to welcoming you to this rarely
discovered corner of Devon, and will do our best to make your stay an
enjoyable one.
