Hello all, now that the river season has finished my friend Mick and I have decided to try and target certain species of fish instaed of just going fishing.
I'm not saying we are specimen hunters, just 2 anglers who, after many years of pleasure fishing would now like to try and catch personal best fish.
If anyone out there has addresses of venues in and around Shropshire or bordering counties where we may be able to achieve this goal, then we would love to hera from you.

alright mate. late reply, but the best place i can suggest is pool hall fishery in trescott, near wolverhampton. they have a specimen lake, and a runs water. i`v just recently caught the lake record 2 weeks ago, at 31lb. fantastic waters, especially the runs. i`ve have plenty of good sessions there. hope this helps
