Beautiful place – especially when all the trees are in their finery and the pads are up.

Fisheries.co.uk - Lanny's Lagoon, Stretton-under-Fosse, Warwickshire.

Only fished the pool ‘farthest’ from the entrance – couple of practices and couple of club matches. Was 24 pegs on it, but really takes a max of 20 because of the corners.
Practise no 1 was when nearly every peg was taken, so I dropped in the first available peg, half way down the far side. Ccaught well on the pellet – crucians all 12oz to knocking the lb mark with odd small carp – although there are big double figure lumps in there too. After about 30 fish I stopped feeding the pellet and tried the caster, got them going up in the water and absolutely emptied it over the next 2.5 hours – counting them I had 135 before running out of caster. This was witnessed by a club mate so our plans for the following week were formulated………..

Well so much for the best laid plans……………

Fished totally different for our match and I ended up getting out of jail with a couple of lumps – just couldn’t get those weight building crucians to have a nibble.
Second match I got ‘boxed in’ the nearest rh corner and again a lump or two got me out of jail

But, a lovely place if you want to go fishing rather than just ‘catching’……….…..
