Default BAA Coppice lake

went to the new BAA pool yesterday, nice place. 4.5 acres 40 pegs, some unfishable at the moment, Used to be a carp day ticket venue, got there at 7.30, 5 bivvies set up, and 3 other carp anglers there, all said they'd fished there for years. Saw a few carp come out to 21lb,several mid doubles, and a few up to 10lb. I fished gb feeder red mags/worm, struggled for two bites, mate fished pole / mags, had 35 small roach / perch. Baa bailiffs came round twice, and one stayed to fish overnight, seems out and out carp water boilies / method feeder, floating bread all took fish, saw only two bream caught which fell to carp anglers baits. Pallets mostly ok, some dodgy, pool has lost some water, pallets three foot off water, which bailiff was working on yesterday. When we left at 1.00pm the place was packed out, and a lot of people about looking round.
BAA only took over officially last Friday 1st May. no lock on gate, as stated yet. I think when more anglers get on there, they will respond to maggot, worm etc, they only used to carp baits, all the regulars have joined BAA, so they can still fish the place, most were there for 2 - 3 days.
but said no one rarely ever targeted the silvers/bream. Night tickets allowed.

hope this helps anyone fancying it

Whats the surrounding like mate? I mean is it tree lined, or other obstacles to casting?

Mulling over taking a fly rod for the carp

Coppice is a great stretch of water for anybody inexperienced at carp fishing. I have fished it a dozen times this year and have nt failed to catch carp. I was using a method feeder with vitalin, hemp and corn, with a halibut pellet as hook bait. The size of fish caught ranged between 7 lb and 18 lb.
