Newbie
Hi people,
New to this site,
Have only been fishing for about 6 year's, so still have alot to learn, especially about the match scene, had my first club match today and blanked. I've fished two previous open matches and blanked It's like a switch turns off when i am in a match and i seem to get evrything wrong, any tips no matter how small greatly welcomed.
Many thanks
Dave

Tell us a little more about the venue or venues you have fished, there is maybe some one on the site that can give good advice specific to them. The best advice I can give is try and do a bit of homework on your venue, and dont be afraid to ask the winner and framers how they fished, but most importantly fish to your strengths be it on the pole or on the feeder, if you can try and visit a venue berore fishing it watch how others are catching and see if it fits your way of fishing.

Hi everyone
this is my first question since joining this forum, hope someone can point me in the right direction regarding this problem and hopefully answer the following question, does anyone know of such an attachment which you can buy which will allow a centre pin reel to be turned 90 degrees for the purpose of casting a long way.I have a j.young purrist ll centre pin reel which i am currently using.

thats how the modern day reel was created i believe center pin turned side ways then just went form there......i am not an expert on CPs but i thought it was all about spinning the reel as you cast....

I do believe it was called a sidecaster, but was used mainly for sea fishing
