Default newbie!

hello people,my first post.Just about ready for the season kick off, after not fishing since 2006.I have decided to get back into it properly, just sort of went about doing other things for the last few years.I have caught in the past not many species, the ones i have caught are carp, mirror, common, tench, roach, perch and stirgeon in france a few years back. This season my targets other than carp are pike, barbel, chub and zander as i have never caught these and want to.So i live in gloucester and me and my mate normally fish are local canal and a certain part off a little river near by,but i want to fish some good river spots in gloucester area that i havnt before so can anyone tell me where is a good part of the severn in gloucester or something.

Hi technic1210,

Welcome aboard!

You have the River Wye which is only a short distance from Gloucester and will provide your Chub & Barbel. The river will also provide big pike but i would target these early autumn onwards.
