Hi Everyone.
Just got an invite to join the forum , it looks very good and informative.
my name is keith and i run www.tacklebros.co.uk fishing tackle website. i will try to be active on the forum as much as i can so if anyone wants to pick my brains about anything (not much up there to pick ) you are welcome. im in to sea fishing at the moment (beachcasting ) but i understand this forum is more towards carp and freshwater fishing , i do a bit of that too , mainly pike fisshing however i spotted some nice big carp that i havent seen before in the irrigation pond behind my house and i want to have a go at hooking them , if anyone has any advice then i could do with some , its full of weed and does not get fished so these carp wont be used to commercial baits.

we have some good offers on our site at the moment and have plenty more to come , we still have a long way to go in the way of stocking the site but we can get hold of just about anything if anyone wants somthing that isnt on there yet. we also give a free gift with each order. we have given away free rods and reels, reels on thier own , bait, tackle , it just depends what we have in stock cluttering up the place!

can anone reccomend a good shore mark and tactice to fish from? and how can i catch these carp that have been so elusive ever since ive been fishing at this pond? then i can post some pictures with the results!

hi m8 - obviously if you're into beach casting you probably live by the sea or close by ? if the carp in the pond are wild, try being stealthy and keep baiting with floating bread eventually it'll become a bit of the norm to them.you could then try free lining a chunk of bread/crust with a good size hook in the middle then just wait for the fish to come up and take the bait and all hell will instantly ensue !!! where are you based m8 ? welcome aboard

Hi ,
no im not by the sea, junction 1 M6 Rugby , the sea is miles away but i like being blown about in all weathers , does wonders after a night on the beer!. its somting about the wildness of the sea and a desolate beach and the thought of maybe catching somthing i can eat. if you can stand driving wind and rain going sideways in th winter!

mmm what you said about these carp is exactly what a friend of mine said who does a lot of carp fishing. keep baiting them with bread until they think its normal and then throw in a hook . ok il try it first before i try some of this pinaple flavourd bait we just got in! im thinking of using it as air freshener in the landrover.

thanks for the welcome , ive been on the forum all of about an hour or so and already had two people speak to me , i had no idea it would be so friendly.

we just had word that sony erriccsson in binley, coventry, have moved, there is a pond in the grounds about to be buldozed and has been part drained,a friend of mine has rescued some carp and will try to go back before the weekend to get a load of carp and roach out so if anyone wants some i would get down there .such a shame.

Its against the law to move fish to another water without an EA30 form, so tread carefully as you might get prosecuted. also its common practice to lower the levels prior to netting taking place so someone may be managing it.

good advice there thank you . i will drop them a line tomorrow and make sure they know about it . . permission was asked i am told and it was fine . myself i think il stay away now you have told me that as i am far to busy to be getting involved. i will call the enviroment agency tomorrow to make sure they aware and then its in thier hands to make sure the fish are looked after.they are after all the people to be dealing with things like this .
