Default Help Wanted

Hi! I was wondering if anyone can help.
Myself and a few mates are trying to get our local Council to do something about our local fishing lake.Which is Owned by them.

1: We have a Problem with So called angler's Consuming Beer whilst Fishing and leaving the emptys in the pegs for the rangers to clean up Dont get me wrong I dont mind sensible drinking but getting half cut well

2: There has been a steady increase in louts shooting the wild life
only last week two goslings had to be put down to appaling injuries
one had been shot in the eye & neck the other had been shot in the back and spine. We have Comunity Wardens & Comunity Police They Dont seem to want get in volved have

3: The Council put a No Night Fishing Sign But do not enforce it

4: We have a dipping pond for schoolkids to learn about wildlife

5 : The reason for the fishing lake was for the local comunity who showed an interest in fishing but dont have access to Transport. The fishing is fine but how can we let this sought of behaviour spoil it for the young and old alike How can we put pressure on the council to do something about it. John

Get back in touch with the police and also get in touch with RSPB, if the lake is within so many metres of a public footpath etc they have to enforce the law regarding the discharging of a firearm/airgun and the RSPB will take up the prosecution of the offenders who shoot the birds.

Enough complaints about the offenders who are doing the drinking etc will eventually bring a clampdown , try contacting the police and tell them that the people doing the drinking are under age and that they are being abusive and threatening.

I know some people will think that I'm a kill joy but if people like this are spoiling my fishing then I'm afraid it will just have to be done, but don't confront them yourself for your own safety.

there is a rough lake like that by me

it is full of the biggest tench , pike and carp going

carp to 43lb

tench to 13lb

and pike to 30lb

mind you they aret he bigegst of teh fish pulled out sofar we knowthere is bigger

that lake is called lifford and is down the kings norton business park in birmingham

there is drinking , drug dealing , anti social behaviourthe lot

and a thign which calmed ths down was a police patrol round the lake every day

and i am a regular night fisher there

so gt intouch with the council and ask if they can do a patrol round there with a sniffer dog
