Default New (not so old) boy

Hello, just returned to fishing after a 19 year dry net. My 12 yr old son asked if i could take him and i saw it as spending some father and son time . He doesnt live with me so it was ideal. I still had all my old tackle which is pretty good still, i did have to update a lot and get up to speed with new methods and the ins and outs with these "new fangled " Commercials.
Anyway we are both enjoying it and having a better time than i can remember having all those years ago.
Anyway Hello all.

Welcome to the site, your story mirrors mine if my lad had not wanted to go then I dont think I would have come back, mind you that was ten years back, that first outing though was something quite special and was great as I had three lads with me who had not fished before, the smiles on their faces when catching a few fish was brilliant.
