Default Born again fisherman

Hello all,

Well 2007 was my first season in about ( Well I found an old Licence and it was £16.50, the date that was in ink has vanished due to its age) I think its got to be at least 10+ years ago.

Anyway, Coarse fishing is something that I enjoy. I have never caught so many Carp. The equipment has also chaged so much and so many different types of baits. I heard about 3 lakes near home that was well stocked and not over fished. So I gave it a go, The first day was not the best caught a few, but I got talking to this guy very friendly and told me what to get in terms of bait etc. I'd never heard of hair rigs at this point (I now make my own).

It only took me a few weeks to really get stuck in, I then deciced for fathers day to return the favor and take my dad fishing as he used to take me as a young lad. I got him set up with a hair rig etc and within 20 minutes he had a bite and by the time he had realised the loud bleeping noise was a bite the Carp was 1/2 way down the lake- nice 9lb common. We plan to do the same this year and my brother also plans to join us.

I also want to have a go this year at fly fishing so will be looking for a small set up just to have a go. So will pst when I'm ready for advice

Question

I'm off to see a mate in Lincoln this weekend and he's mentioned going Pike fishing, but he has only fished Bardney Lock. Does anyone know of any other good Pike spots in Lincolnshire.

Can't wait for 2008 Seaon
