Hi everyone miloman from hertfordshire been drowning maggots for 30 years or more, fish canals and lakes, fished the IVEL for the first time in 10 years last week had the whole river to my self, did the wander and caught 4 chub, brought back the good old days, going again Wednesday
by the way anyone got any up to date info on the Fairlands and Stanborough situation?

Whats happened at Stanborough ? havn't fished that place for years, in fact the last time was when Stuart Arnold had a fishing tackle shed there

Theres rumer that Stanborough could be lost to fishing so I hope it stays a rumor the same as Failands in Stevenage
Your bringing back the memories regarding Stu Arnold He was so full off bulls--t but I never had a problem with him in fact he was a breath of fresh air to the industry although he ruffled a few feathers. I think he was one of the first people to sponsor BOB NUDD

That sucks about Stanborough if its true it was quite a nice venue albeit a bit peggy

Don't know if Stu sponsered Bob I lived in Waltham Cross Angling Centre when he had that shop, some great anglers came out of there, and of course one of the worlds best worked in there when Ivan was there.

Stu kept prices low for a long time especially with bait I remember the huge imports of tackle he used to do and everyone was like where did he get that from and why so cheap

I have been meaning to get down to his boat at Newhaven and have a session on the big pond.

Only ever fished for my local clubs Letchworth and biggleswade but guested for other teams, fished all over the place, started against people like Mark Pollard at Black Horse now at Fox once beat 'Dicki Carr off the next peg on the River IVEL in bedfordshire and drew next to IVAN at Stanborough in a charity match, Still doing a bit but not enough as I would like
