Hi to everyone,

just joined the forum, been reading in the background for ages! I'm just getting back into coarse fishing after too many years stuck behind bite alarms for carp. I can't wait to get my coarse gear back together and do some polefishing, waggler fishing, etc.

I know this has probably been asked before, but I can't decide which pole to buy, I want a 14.5 m that I can use for big carp but also use for roach/bream fishing, ideally having 2 match top 3's and 2 power kits. Looking at spending 400 - 500 quid. I've been thinking of the Maver 151 competition but seem to read a lot of bad reports of Maver on here? All comments greatly appreciated.

As for your pole i cant give a personal opinion on it as ive not used a pole in that price bracket but i have heard a lot of people raving about the shimano exage which i believe is in your budget , tight lines

Hi westy welcome to the site, try putting a thread up in the tackle advice section re the Maver 151 pole, it might get a better response in that section, pretty sure that Weldec has one and he will tell you what its like.
