Cool Banded pellet Pole shallow Long

Hello to everyone - great site! I live in Kidderminster, Worcs near good Commercial waters such as Moorlands & Woodland View. Started last year to get into fishing up in the water for Carp between 3 & 10lb, mainly on banded or hair rig pellets! Not quite settled on the hooks for this - so can anyone out there kindly make some suggestions. For on the deck i have faith in PR28s!

Default Jelly Pellets..... quicker!!

I saw a massive improvement in my weights and subsequently had my best season so far. I fish commercials and concentrated on fishing shallow from anywhere between 6 to 16m. I used caster and jelly pellets..... these pellets stay on your hook even if you miss the bite!!

for my up the water fishing i normally user hair rig i do not band them i make a hole in the pellet, i pull the elastic through the pellet that makes for a better presentation of the pellet. (it hangs better behind the hook) it what you fill confident with i have so many ways of fishing up in the water,, oh the hooks i use are 16 to 14 drennan carp feeder or carp match i have used all type's of hook but for me these are best...

Thanks for your response on hooks for shallow hair rigging - most helpful! Now for my next question for anyone out who could help me! I have been bought (nice surprise) by my good lady in advance of a trip to Stafford Moor, Devon - a Preston Innovations Sentient 12' Super Feeder Rod which looks the business. Does anyone use this particular rod - and know whether it is capable of casting 1oz bombs to islands with 6lb line & handling carp around 5 to 6lb, but sometimes up to 10lb?
