Hi ,

I just found your site today so thought I would register and say hello.

I have just moved to East Sussex and recently (12th Nov) had my 30th birthday. I had mentioned to my partner that I would like to start fishing again, so for my birthday she bought me everything needed to start again as I have no kit.

This means that this weekend I will be visiting my local (Wishing Well Resovoir).

I will be fishing for carp and would appreciate any advice/articles/tips that would be able to help me choose the right setup for the day.

I was surprised too. I got 2 12ft carp rods, reels, seat, bait alarms, landing net ... blah... blah....

All I need is an umbrella and some floats, swim feeder, leads and hooks. oh and a carp mat.

I have been reading some of the articles here and have found them a good read.

Cant wait to put it into practice though.

anybody else out this weekend...?
