Well where to start......molands high numbers and this match I was really looking forward too.....so draw time and bang peg 44 absolutely chuffed I think I actually skipped to my peg so happy...but Chris Newton drawn the very much fancied 46 so would be dangerous.....setup maggot feeder, waggler a shallow rig very light 4x8....and a jiggas at 4ft.....deep shallow and x2 deck rigs heavy and light....edge rig....fed x2 lines at 10 and 2 @ 16m negative lines and a short maggot line....fed x20 mags and a one handed ball split into two on one line....pinkies and groundbait line.
The short line fed micros and mags by hand......start the match mag feeder and 50 mins later rod goes around f1 about 2.5lb...wahey ......so continue for another 20mins nothing....Hmmm...onto the pole line pinkies...nothing...onto the mag line...nothing.....oh no....fishing all around the peg nothing so I'm struggling.....started to chuck the waggler around to try and find the fish nothing went on my long pinkie line and the float wobbled.....bite....a nice 1lb crusion no more followed and I just finished the match scratching my head.....the spit fished hard and Chris Newton won the section with 19lb he caught his x7 f1s on the maggot waggler feeding with sticky mag to the far side and is now top of the league....I finished up 10th in section so that's a dropper....siblings for me next....not looking forward to that.....I should have made some sort of recovery after my nightmare outing physically if not mentally......I might become unhinged after siblings lol.

They make a fool of us anglers - one day you don't think there's a fish in your peg, next day someone empties it. One of the old boys won the Vets match today off peg 44 with 66lbs - see what I mean lol.
