    Default bleak hooks

Hi, could anybody suggest/recommend any hooks suitable for catching bleak, I have been using some old ''au lion d' or 1219b'' barbless hooks from my canal/ gudgeon days.

I suspect you will get numerous choices from anglers who prefer the brand they use..but any barbless hook will do as I don't think Bleak are that fussy.

Gama wide gape maggot barbless. Brilliant hook stays very sharp and is easy to flick the fish off

As rjays said, Bleak maybe not too fussed but if using Red Maggot I always now use a Red hook. (Ready tied in various sizes & B.S)

Or size thesesize 20 loose hooks so can tie to whatever line you want.

I find a micro barbed hook better, too many fly off on the way in on barbless for me, it has to be long shanked so you can thread the maggot onto the hook, youíll definitely hook more that way, Iíve been using size 18 Colmic B2000 hooks which fit the bill nicely
