  • Giant mealworms?

Has anyone tried these as bait? They look revolting, but the fish must like them?

how do you think ragworms would fair against freshwater fish? think the worm would be the one eating the fish personaly unless a chub or perch gets it

most pet shops do mealworms, apparently they are pretty good for carp on the bomb or feeder dont try tucking them in the method.

Fished with a guy who used wasp & hornet grubs in the last 2 matches. Also removed the stings from the hatched insects so he could add them to his groundbait. He didn't win either match (brave man though). Wasp grubs looked like big fat white maggots. Hornet grubs looked like really really big fat white maggots.

i used to use all kinds of insect larvae as a young un, just seemed to catch slightly bigger perch.
i'm not lazy, just energy efficient.
