Make up my own method feeder g/bait with vitalin and other additives but doe's not bind very well as need it quit dry, any suggestions for a binder, thanks!!

We used to use Maize flake ( chicken feed) very much like Vitalin. Leave it to soak for 24 hours then make in to balls. We added white crumb if the mix was to wet, went to the bottom like bricks
