After years away from this sort off fishing that I do now, I just wondered,
if the venue has never seen a pellet would a pellet catch ?

I would guess by now that almost every venue has seen pellets used, at the end of the day its just food to fish, ok other baits might out fish pellet, but as soon as they get a taste of pellet it will change. If you have a venue that has not seen a pellet, my guess it will not have seen many anglers either. Why not bait two swims up one using pellet and one using an alternative like maggot or bread, you may need to test it out on more than one occasion to prove it.
