Im thinking of purchasing a baitcast reel for my larger lure fishing.
is it possible to get a half decent baitcast reel for £20-£30?
    Many thanks

Have a look at the Okuma range of reels, there is a number of them suitable in that price range.

thanks. I dont really know anything about baitcasters, would one like this OKUMA HALOGEN 150 BAITCASTING REEL - PIKE - SALMON - BASS | eBay be okay or would one like OKUMA FINA - baitcasting multiplier reel 150LX / 250LX | eBay be better.

Or would low profile be better? Im slightly confused aha.

I think that i would go with the FINA model, being more expensive it probably will give you better bearings and more features. My experience with Baitcasters is limited as i have only ever owned one model, an Abu multiplier that i used for lure fishing a while ago. What i will say that this type of reel imparts far more action into the lure than fast retrieve modern fixed spool reels. At that price, try it and see.
