Depends on the box in my opinion. It always used to be that square legs were more stable but in recent years round legs have improved a lot and there is now very little to choose between them.

i prefer the square has steve said they are very stable and won't slip. The rounds have got better but it only seems to be the very expensive boxes that you can trust where'as the cheaper square leg systems are all stable in my opinion.

Square for me I'm afraid. They just feel more secure.

Having had both have to say I prefer square legs, although the fact my new box has extending legs is a massive improvement.
Don't know if others have found the same but I think the preston system for seat box attachments is by far the best as it doesn't mark the legs. My old round leg box had so many marks from where the octoplus attachments had been.

I do normally prefer square legs although I like the larger diameter round legs that are on my Rive.

The Preston attachments are very good for all boxes though and mean if you buy a new box with different legs, you can still use your old stuff relatively cheaply.
