Best Ways Of Playing Carp?

Alight all,

Im just wondering what the best ways im playing carp are. What i tend to do is take clutch off so the fish will always have line if it wants to and just keep the rod up and when he stops taking line reel...is this correct - im not too sure.

on pole keep tip underwater in winter as you dont hook many carp so dont bully as it could be only carp of session. in summer tip underwater chck where fish is every so often then get head above surface and a quick net

If baggin and in a match Keep the rod tip low, stand up if necessary and pump them in. If pleasure fishing do what your doing as its more fun but tighten your drag a bit until its set at 50% of the lines breaking strain otherwise you could be there for ages
