    12 hour Charity match.

I am holding a 12hr Charity fishing match at a private lake in Cheltenham on the 12th May in aid of The MS society and Cancer research.

The Idea is that the participants get sponsorship for fishing the full 12hrs.
There will be a prize for the winner, with the nets being emptied and weighed every three hours. Those taking part MUST have sponsorship of over £50.00 and their will be NO further charge for fishing.
Refreshments and snacks will be supplied during the day. There will be a raffle with prizes donated so GET YOUR WALLETS OUT!!!
The match will run from 9am to 9pm.
For those of you who have a touring caravan, there are sites available at £4.50 per night. If you want to camp in a tent, contact me for the owners number, as I am not sure if he does it.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW BY PM ASAP AS I NEED A MINIMUM TO MAKE IT VIABLE!!! (and let you have sponsorship forms!)

The lake is full of fish, with Carp running to the low 20s, Roach to 3lb, Rudd to 3lb. I believe there are other fish (Perch, Bream etc) but I haven't caught them yet.

Good luck hope things go well. We're doing a simular thing on our water at the end of July, a 24 hour match in aid of a local Hospice.

This will be cancelled on Friday if I don't get any interest.
The deal is: £50.00 sponsorship gets you free fishing, food on the day, a private lake to fish and a trophy to die for!
There will also be a raffle.

In order to make up the numbers to compete for the trophy, I am opening it up to anglers for £10.00 to fish and £5.00 peg fee.
Don't forget there will be a raffle.
Please advise me by PM if you are coming!

I think I better put up directions!
If you arrive in Cheltenham from the M5, you will be on the A40. Stay on it and you will arrive at a fork in the road, take the left one. up to the traffic lights at the roundabout, go straight ahead towards the hospital. At the next set of lights go right and then immediately left. Drive straight past the hospital to the next roundabout, turn left. go up to the traffic lights and turn right. STAY ON THIS ROAD it is the A40! You will reach a fork in the road with a chuch in the middle, bear left. Go past the shopping centre and the sixways traffic lights. stay on the road through the twists and turns. You will see a pub called the reservois and the reservois on your left. Carry on up the hill and about 25ft from the top of the hill is a TINY lane to the right - turn right and then the first left and you are there!!
Look forward to meeting you all!

To all of you fishing Saturday - Tight lines.
I have knocked up some signs. When you are coming up the hill on the A40 (the main road between Cheltenham and Oxford) I will have these out as the turnoff is quite hidden!

There should be eight! Not many I know, but it should be a good day (weather permitting) as I have organised Cold drinks, food, snacks and, tea or coffee to be delivered to the pegs all day!
                        AND don't forget the raffle!
