Keepnets in close season

Hi, does anyone know if there's any bylaws to prevent you using a keepnet between 16th March - 16th June? I've spoke to a few people who think you cannot use a keepnet in this period because of EA bylaws and therefore you can't hold a match.
I'm curious because I'm thinking of organising a few matches in the coming months, yet I can't find anything on the EA site that suggests that keepnets are banned during the close season.

Keepnets are not banned during the closed season on stillwaters and canals providing they are not sites of scientific interest, you should have no problem finding venues that you can run a match on during the closed season.
