  • Meat paste?

    Any experts out there fish with this bait ? (meatpaste)
    Any tips on making it and what to feed with it i would be greatful.

    There are many ways. Depending on what your fishing with, pole, tip , waggler, ect. What I find good is get a tin of koshida catmeat in a blender so it like sludge, now slowly apply some pre made paste, just to give it some moisture and thicken up. This works well with the bream and carp. I never have any problems, make it thick enough and you can use this on the tip casting at a good distance.

      Now that does sound like the missis would love it... comes home to you standing in the kitchen with a blender full of cat food - and let alone the smell!

        Morrisons do a MyCat variety pack. These are different flavoured sachets in a box. I,ve washed off the jelly from the Tuna packs and pushed the meat through a maggot riddle then added it to home made marine halibut pellet paste and scored, dont leave it in the sun though cos it goes dry and crusty on the outside,

          Thanks men,but i was thinking more along the lines of luncheon meat paste.

          Anyone use it and could shed some light on how to make it?

            try using normal paste and adding some of this additive

                  Dunna bother with the catmeat paste Jamie its cwap, , Yorkshire baits do a mix yourself job and its the dogs

                        liquidise your meat add some brown crumb (fine) oxo cube and keep kneading til you get concistancy required

                            there is an artical in Aug edition of Advanced Pole Fishing on meat paste.
                            they suggest grate two tins of meat with some method groundbait mix
