I never use stonfos, I just use crowsfoot, but I make the knot with a small length of slightly thicker, different coloured elastic to give a sight tip.

Most of my canal tops have number 3 vespe in them, with tensioner bungs. These are fine for most squat applications in my opinion, set softer for smaller fish/shallow water.

Got a couple of number 2s, for really shallow water or see through fish.

Number 4 vespe for caster or hemp.

    Middy 6-8 for choppy

Started off on 2/3 latex but switched to vespe no2 and was much better seems to retract better into the pole tip.
Middy green and purple also very good.

I lay a 3 inch piece of yellow number 8 alongside the tip end of the laggy, then it's like a 3 turn water knot, wet and slide tight very carefully so it stays even.

Rigs are dead easy to attach, tie a 3 inch double overhand loop, then tie another one actually on the original loop. Then cut the top loop so it can't snag on anything. Then simply pass the mainline through the remaining loop creating a noose and tighten behind the crows foot. To remove pull the tags rom the cut loop.

That's actually really difficult to explain!
