Ok another pole elastic question hehe
I have 7 top sections for my pole:
5 power kits (18-19 elastic max)
1 match kit (10 elastic max)
    1 cupping kit

i only fish commercials were the average fish is about 5lb but 10lb+ are always caught so what elastics would i want for that bear in mind i have 5 kits. so please name 5 elastics

In the winter however i fish maggot or Castor for fish up to about 2lb maximum and i only have 1 top kit for this but if you want you could use a power kit or two.
so all told i want 6 elastics to cover all my fishing what whould you do in my situation??

please keep the hydros to a minimum i only have about £60 on all my elastics/bungs...ect

It sounds has though you fish the same sort of venues in summer and winter has myself, i use two poles one strong with hollow elastic from 14 to 20 the other an allround pole with size 8 to 12 latex. I don't think you can get one type of elastic that will cope with winter and summer.

I have 7 kits for my pole so I can tell you whats in mine if that will help. Middy 6-10 yellow hollow ( could go in your match kit). Garbolino yellow hollow ( 8-12 I think ) in one Middy 12-16 red hollow in 2 kits , 10 solid with a pull bung and 12 solid with pull bung in 2 kits. The middy hollow is about 6 quid each the Garb is 9 quid and the solid is around 3 quid but you get enough to do 2 kits.

              Hope this helps.

I agree that fishing from summer to winter your elastic choices will differ...but only very slightly.
A fish is a fish (no sh*t sherlock) but a 10lb carp full of food and energy will put up a much harder fight during the summer months than when its willing to expend half as much energy in the winter ...BUT.. when it feels the prick of the hook then its instinct is still to get free so if i was you i would invest in one more power top kit (as i dont like odd numbers).
Use your match top for silvers or winter fishing for when the carp are having none of it and a few silvers can get you a section place at least.

2 top kits with 12`s preston slip set bang on *..

2 top kits with 14`s preston slip set bang on*..

1 top kit with 16`s preston slip set bang on*..

1 top kit with 16`s preston slip set tight**..

                      * bang on to me is elastic set so it pulls back in with very little creep
** tight to me is elastic set bang on with an extra foot taken off it
Please God...let me win the lottery:rolleyes:
