  • How to get bites when the fishing is slow

    now then guys/gals..

fished a match saturday and won, BUT i had time during this match where i was ages produces a bite let alone a fish.

when i main side was slow, i moved across and still nothing.

whats a good trick to get the fish back and the bites again.

i could have hit a nice 50lb+ bag if it wasnt for this.

    thanks
    newie

if the fish dont want to know they wont take it simple as that however at this time of year it is best to keep to low oil / fat baits.

Resting lines can often pay, with fish gettin `finiky` at this time of year it pays to have two or three lines to plunder (depending on the venue).
Poles waving above their heads or even splashing of floats/feeders can sometimes have an effect when fish are wary and make them back off your feed,so rotating lines while one is resting is a good way to let the fish build confidence when numbers of thier shoal are dissapearing.
Please God...let me win the lottery:rolleyes:

yeah features are the best options when fishing anywhere really ive found.

went to 1 venue last week, pleasured it, i netting 65lb of stockies and silvers, fished 12m to open water netted mainly carp, did feed my left margin, then fished that shallow on a single maggot and netted sivers and alot more carp aswell.

the feed im ?'ing to start id feed chopped worm, maggot, pellet and a few grains of corn, would fill my pot right up.

                  that right or wrong?

would feeding dead maggot have more of an advantage?

i normally feed little and often this time of year well it depends on the fishing but what i do find well is instead of putting 2 maggots on ya hook try 1 and a lot more fish seem interested in it silvers and carp this is because it looks more natural unless you have a giant hook

if this is the case keep fishing in the middle and just leave to margin but keep feeding it still.
just encase bites do dry up

going to start with chop and caster, and caster on the hook.

                          will also feed pellet aswell.

margin will be feed with pellet and corn only - unsure if you fish that shallow or bottom
