    Nice one !
Pleased to hear he was helpful, I like his articles in various mags & I got his 2 DVD's for Christmas & he comes across as a decent bloke on those as well... would've been disappointing to have heard something negative.

Fished a corporate match at Gold Valley many years ago - Will advised any participant who cared to ask the way to tackle their particular peg. He came around during the match and put you to rights if you were struggling! Top man!

He gets a reputation for being a bit shirty when people approach him while he's fishing a match. Often they will stand on the skyline or over a margin line and then wonder why he's got one on him!
If you wait until after the match, he will help anyone and is a genuinely funny bloke and an absolute wealth of info.

When we're filming with him, we plan what we're going to shoot and discuss it all with him, but the magic bits are when he comes out with something on the spur of the moment. I think he may be viewed in much the same way as Ivan Marks in 30 years time, he has that something extra that he really doesn't know himself what it is.

As has been said many times about geniuses: he's forgotten more than most of us know
