Well done roysty, your 70lb+ gave me inspiration for Larford today - 70lb 8oz, but could only manage 4th!

There were 50 of us on the match lake Fish spawning so 'freddy the frog' brought in a new rule - you could only fish a min of 6m straight out!

I was on 32 shallow bank
First half hour went on method - 1 carp
Next 2 1/2 hours caught well on paste at 6m
Next hour struggled for a few skimmers (wind changed direction)
last hour had ten carp shallow on pellet.

Top weigh only 80lb on peg 6 I think - fished poorly really, just like middle on sunday, must be due to change in weather conditions

peg 6 is a flyer at the moment i drew it on the first day of the classic couple of weeks back i fished it wrong but had 45kilo 980 off it for 4th in section then les thompson drew it day 2 and had 2nd in section with 62kilo only grams off a win, then last weekend in the pairs rob perkins had 63 kilo off it to leaving me 3rd overall and 2nd in section i had 58kilo

i had a feeling that rule would come out!
