    Additional Info :-

For some reason the venue fished really hard, may have been due to the drop in temperature overnight. I noticed on the way to the venue the thermometer in the car read only 7 degrees. Anyway due to a ban on meat at this venue, I decided to go for a banded pellet shalllow approach which didnt work and as the wind got up became impossible, so a switch to plan B was made which was corn and paste in the margin. With fish tails sticking out of the water this looked promising but yeilded only 2 fish after an hour for about 12 lb. So plan C was quickly hashed which was paste over pellet at 4m. This resulted in a further 20lb. With 15 minutes to go I lost a near double figure fish at the net and thought I'd 'blown it', but luckily 32lb was enough to win the match and claim the bonus peg money as well.
