  • Hillview Lakes Open - Wednesday 18th April 2012

As expected due to the weather forecast only a few anglers turned out today, to be honest though it was'nt that bad, we had showers... well light rain for a few hours then it was ok until the all out.
7 of us fished a rover but we all decided to stay on the 2 lakes.
Brian drew no1 so he decided on peg 8, its been fishing really well so it looked like we were all fishing for 2nd place, peg 18 went next to Francis so I decided to chance peg 15, a pleasure angler was on peg 13, on my way to the peg I was'nt sure if I had made a boo boo, the guy on 13 was chucking to the corner and my plan was to fish just past on the far leg of peg 14 and on my mini topkit in front, my mini topkit is no more... smashed to bits by an angry carp
Right... down to the result... so who did take the victory.

    1st Steve 99.8 peg 27 Heron
    2nd 'Me' Corky1 90.1 peg 15 Moorhen
    3rd Brian 'TrebleV' 84.5 peg 8 Moorhen
    4th Francis Porter 80.4 peg 18 Moorhen
    5th Andy Bruton 60.6 peg 29 Heron
    6th G Skarba 60.2 peg 37 Heron
    7th Will 55.6 peg 6 Moorhen

Well done Steve, only a few anglers but we still had a great match, well done lads, it was worth turning up for.
See you all on Saturday, lets hope it stays dry.

Corky1 here comes the summer... you just can't see it yet
