22 bobby danglers fished today with a few new welcome faces in the field, with the wind pushing into the car park banks who would be on the favoured low numbered pegs, three lanes were used today so plenty of room for all, but with all the cold rain this week would the fish oblige ?? With his first match this year at the venue derek `thai` hammond pulled out no1 on the blues, gotta be favorite, but he has some good anglers around him, this is week two for the ridgway/cotswold sponsored qualifiers with the grand final in october, who would book their place toxday, well lets see

1st derek [me love u long time] hammond 220.8lb peg 1 blue

2nd carl [puff man] mulford 162.6lb peg 3 white

3rd franky [mr consistent] donachie 146.14lb peg 3 blue

    4th stef travelyn 116.12lb peg 1 white

whites alan oram 98.14 peg 9

blues steve [stitch] rich 94.6lb peg 5

as you can see the fish deffo followed the wind today, derek caught from the off taking 30 carp to 10lb from the margins, adding another 15 from 5 metres to take the win, with 30 carp apiece frank and carl went fish for fish taking 2nd and 3rd, stef on peg 1 on the whites suffered with lost fish and a snapped pole as the fish ran for cover under the bridge

well the last word has to go to derek who at the weigh in found that he had a keepnet missing, you should of seen his face, panic was an understatement, get your landing net handle i said you may be lucky, as he went to get it, and having suffered for a couple of minutes, stef owned up to hiding his net, panic over, that net had 80lb in it, good banter though, well done derek

hope to see you all on bh monday, all welcome 11.00 draw fish 12.00 till 18.00
