James Maude Linden Ac Lindholme Lakes Bonsai
    Saturday 2nd June 2012 (6hrs)

Weather: Cloudy overcast day slight breeze, cool at times.

This weekend marks the celebrations of the Queens Diamond Jubilee and what an achievement. And whilst the Olympic torch meanders it’s way around the country. England beating Belgium in the warm up match to the Euro’s what a better time to be proud to be British. So the Maude’s men meandered their way up the M1/A1 to Lindholme Lakes, Bonsai was the chosen lake, a change from the inner to the outer was the choice and Neil handed the draw bag with pegs 1-40 a mixture of emotions as we have never fished these pegs before on our matches. But just coming off the back of a spawning session would the fish be feeding. With plenty of fish on the move would they be up for the challenge. So who would be the flag bearer and whose flag would be at half mast. The man who has hit form is young Gary Butcher he fished from peg 7 fishing a tidy match to take 43lb-5oz to the scales and our sixth different winner this season in as many matches. Well done Gary. Another angler that really fished a great match on a tough day was Brian Cox, Brian caught steady fishing shallow with double castor hook bait and firing casters over at 9mtrs to amass a weight of 40lb-5oz from peg 29. Well Done Brian. Also fishing a tidy match to finish third was Billy Harrison taking 32lb-14oz from peg 27. Well done Billy. So on the build up to all the sporting festivals a tidy match with some well balanced low weights but a close encounter.
So as Gary picks up his flag and hails the glory bestowed upon him. Lenny Burton I’m afraid you are flying at half mast.
    The results are as follows:
    Gary Butcher 43lb-5oz peg 7
    Brian Cox 40lb-5oz peg 29
    Billy Harrison 32lb-14oz peg 27
    Terry Cheeseman 32lb-13oz peg 39
Wayne Jerram 32lb-4oz peg 36 (guest)
    Dave Lilliman 26lb-8oz peg 1
    Ian Carr 26lb-2oz peg 23
    Pete Jackson 25lb-9oz peg 40
    Dean Collingham 23lb-2oz peg 31
    Pete Lambert 22lb-12oz peg 35
    Shaun Green 22lb-10oz peg 25
    Paul Davies 22lb-2oz peg 22
    Dave Sewell 22lb-1oz peg 30
    Andy Topham 20lb-9oz peg 5
    Sean Hanrahan 20lb-7oz peg 13
    Julian Chadwick 19lb-12oz peg 24
    Dave Johnson 19lb-5oz peg 38
    Alan Slack 17lb-1oz peg 11
    Tony Smith 16lb-2oz peg 15
    Paul Skeldon 13lb-14oz peg 17
    Nick Heath 13lb peg 26
    Terry Wiggins 12lb-11oz peg 37
    Kev Brown 10lb-12oz peg 21
    Johnny Evans 9lb-4oz peg 3
    Lawrence Butcher 7lb-11oz peg 28
    Lenny Burton 6lb-13oz peg 9

All anglers must weigh to gain league points.

Thank you for taking the time to read.
Next match Saturday 9th June 2012 Sherwood Forest Farm Park (Homeldale)
    Regards Billy Boy :)
