  • Arrow Valley Lake Open - 16 June - Results

On a day of high winds accompanied by heavy rain, which cut the attendance to only thirteen, the lake fished really well with the 12 anglers who weighed in catching an average of over 40lb per man.
Bream fed freely in the conditions with fish falling to both method feeder and pole tactics with corn, boilies and pellets the best hook baits..
Maurice Williams continued his strong form on the lake, using method feeder tactics with boilies and corn on the hook to take top weight with an excellent all bream bag of over 68lb from peg 67 on the bluebell bank.
Further round the lake on peg 56 Andy Green cast his feeder close to the island and was rewarded with 59lb 11oz of bream and second top weight of the day.
Over on the Shakespeare bank Redditch angler Mark Hemmings was close behind with a 59lb 3 oz return, Mark included one carp in his otherwise all bream bag.
Another Redditch angler Martin Tremlett had the best pole caught weight of the day with a cracking bag of 14 bream and a 3lb plus hybrid with skimmers for 51lb and fourth spot.
