  • S.Jones A.C Curborough New pool

The latest Jones's outing saw a quick trip to the usually reliable Curborough end with a tinge of dissapointment..
2 matches on the pool put a fair bit of pressure on and chuck in squally showers and a strong gusty wind and ideal it was not..
Club champ and chop worm specialist Stu bagnall took the honours with an hard earned 46 lb of goldfish and silvers at 10mtr, feeding constantly with a kinder pot of grub after every fish, he looked to be cruising but a slow last hour put a bit of doubt on the out come..
2nd with 39lb 14oz was carlbags (me) chop worm again producing fish regularly but of a small stamp.. feeding a tight hole down the margins all match eventually produced 5 better carp.. probably 2 fish short..
3rd went to the ever consistent Paul callear with a mixed net of 34lb 6oz on the corn.
    4th Chris Hodgkiss 26lb
    5th Si Barnes 24lb 12oz
    6th Pete Attwood 23lb 12oz.

Next up... Cob House Laughene Island..

It's a cracking pool, full of fish.. lots of goldfish right over and plenty of tench down the edges.. odd carp and lots of silvers.. basically its a fish a chuck.
