James Maude Ac Little John Lakes (Robin Hood) 6hrs

    Saturday 24th May 2014
Weather: Bright start to the day with heavy showers most of the day.

So as we reach the time of year when matches are won or lost and runners up become forgotten but winners live on in the memory’s of us all, a massive day in the sporting calendar and a massive task ahead for Kev Brown to regain his place at the top of the Premier League having notched up a win already this season Kev is getting back to his best with another cracking win today at Little John Lakes fishing Robin Hood lake. A bright start to the day which was to turn against us all before the whistle was blown, with anglers battling against the conditions and coming off the back of the fish spawning last weekend this was going to be a battle of the brave. From the off Kev fished over to the island from peg 10 and was into fish a steady stream of Carp helped Kev build a respectable weight but it was his margin swims that came alive in the last hour, fishing a top kit and paste as hook bait Kev boosted his weight putting and additional 20lb in the net to take a respectable weight of 82lb-15oz. Well done Kev. Andy Topham fished from peg 7 to boost his league place with nine points taking 53lb-5oz to the scales. Well done Andy. Another inform angler topping the Champions League is Gary Butcher, Gary put in another good display of angling today fishing from peg 5 putting 41lb into his nets finishing the match third and picking up 10 points. Well done Gary. So with some good middle order weights that could have gone either way by just one fish. The results are as follows:

    Kev Brown 82lb-15oz peg 10
    Andy Topham 53lb-5oz peg 7
    Gary Butcher 41lb peg 5
    Dave Johnson 36lb-10oz peg 6
    Johnny Evans 35lb-12oz peg 18
    Billy Harrison 35lb-11oz peg 12
    Kyle Wood 35lb-5oz peg 1
    Alan Slack 33lb-4oz peg 15
    Tony Smith 33lb-10oz peg 19
    Sean Hanrahan 31lb-4oz peg 16
    Terry Wiggins 29lb-4oz peg 2
    Terry Cheeseman 28lb-3oz peg 25
    Paul Skeldon 27lb-6oz peg 11
    Dave Lilliman 24lb-7oz peg 23
    Shaun Green 23lb-13oz peg 8
    Nick Heath 23lb 4oz peg 4
    Dave Sewell 21lb-1oz peg 24
    Ian Carr 14lb-11oz peg 9
    Pete Lambert 14lb-2oz peg 21
    Brian Cox 12lb-5oz peg 17
    Lenny Burton 8lb-3oz peg 22
    Dean Collingham 5lb-12oz peg 20
    Lawrence Butcher 2lb-12oz peg 3

All anglers must weigh to gain Premier League and Champions League points.

Next match Saturday 31st May Hallcroft Bridge, (Island and Half Outer)

Thank you for taking the time to read.
    Regards Billy Boy :)

Good report again Billy. What a day soaking for 3 hours then dry for an hour then rain again to finish with still trying to dry out the tackle. Well done to Kev. great weight on a hard day, well fished to all on a day when the good old English weather did it's thing and the fish decided that they didn't want to play. See you next week mate.

      Regards Wiggy
