James Maude Ac Little John Lakes (Robin Hood) 6hrs
Saturday 24th May 2014
Weather: Bright start to the day with heavy showers most of the day.
So as we reach the time of year when matches are won or lost and runners up become forgotten but winners live on in the memory’s of us all, a massive day in the sporting calendar and a massive task ahead for Kev Brown to regain his place at the top of the Premier League having notched up a win already this season Kev is getting back to his best with another cracking win today at Little John Lakes fishing Robin Hood lake. A bright start to the day which was to turn against us all before the whistle was blown, with anglers battling against the conditions and coming off the back of the fish spawning last weekend this was going to be a battle of the brave. From the off Kev fished over to the island from peg 10 and was into fish a steady stream of Carp helped Kev build a respectable weight but it was his margin swims that came alive in the last hour, fishing a top kit and paste as hook bait Kev boosted his weight putting and additional 20lb in the net to take a respectable weight of 82lb-15oz. Well done Kev. Andy Topham fished from peg 7 to boost his league place with nine points taking 53lb-5oz to the scales. Well done Andy. Another inform angler topping the Champions League is Gary Butcher, Gary put in another good display of angling today fishing from peg 5 putting 41lb into his nets finishing the match third and picking up 10 points. Well done Gary. So with some good middle order weights that could have gone either way by just one fish. The results are as follows:
