JAMES MAUDE AC MALLORY THE GLEBE 5,6,7

    Saturday 5th July 2014 (6hrs)

Weather: Rain early morning gradually clearing to overcast skies with some warm sunny spells.

To say today was the best match James Maude has ever had is an understatement. It’s days like this when you run out of superlatives, today saw the 24 James Maude anglers meander their way down to Mallory and the Glebe 5,6,7 was to be our final destination, a prolific fishery that can produce massive weights and is credit to Roy Marlow for the very well cultivated landscape and his devoted attention to detail topped off with great fishing this all makes the journey worthwhile. With three lakes on offer first and second to come from each lake so three mini matches. So who would be caught doing a ton at Mallory, well in fact that accolade fell to the top ten anglers but one angler that showed his class was Kyle Wood, falling short of a new club record Kyle topped the scales with 184lb-3oz on top two and two with his paste attack from lake 7 peg 109. Well done Kyle. Second place went to Dave Johnson fishing from peg 92 lake 6 Dave fished caster/pellet shallow taking 158lb-2oz. Well done Dave. Third place going to Dave Sewell fishing from favoured peg 86 on lake 6 Dave weighed a commendable 148lb-4oz. Well done Dave. A very special mention to Sean Hanrahan who fished a great match from peg 76 lake 5 finishing in ninth place with his first ever ton weight with James Maude. Well done Sean. So on a day that ended with a combined club weight of 2,386lb-4oz I have a feeling we will be back, Thank you lads for your support.
