If you are fed up with seeing lots of adverts on Talk Angling, the way to get rid of them is REGISTER HERE as a member and then 95% of the adverts on the site will go away!
Worms, I agree with Nathan. I fish a blockend on the fast flowing Itchen and it's surprising how the current will wash out small pellets and hemp as well as casters and maggots. I also use a bait dropper to get some feed down on the deck.
Kamasan Black Caps are my preferred feeder fished on a running line with an 18 inches to 2 ft hook link.
You can always enlarge the feeder holes if you reel in and find you have bait left in the feeder.
