    Worms, I agree with Nathan. I fish a blockend on the fast flowing Itchen and it's surprising how the current will wash out small pellets and hemp as well as casters and maggots. I also use a bait dropper to get some feed down on the deck.

    Kamasan Black Caps are my preferred feeder fished on a running line with an 18 inches to 2 ft hook link.

    You can always enlarge the feeder holes if you reel in and find you have bait left in the feeder.

    Yes but if you're fishing for Barbel and Chup a blockend feeder with caster, hemp and micro pellet would probably be better.

    can i still use a groundbait feeder on a fast river as i am going to the severn this weekend
    at coalport and you might need 4 0z of lead
