Hook in loop, palomar knot

Is this technique any good, been wanting to test it out but never got round to it and wondering about all your opinions upon this method ??

only good for big hooks mate. super strong though

I've tried it a few times when i've been pleasure fishing, I think I hit fractionally more bites with the 'hook in loop' method, but not by a huge amount.. it does work though and I will be using it on a match very soon....
